I think it's interpretation, some people want an actual relationship from this as in messages everyday and regular set meet ups , dinners , theatre- actual dating type stuff.

When I see casual, I think coffee and yeah, a text when horny. If you are wary of it, scroll on past, or better yet add to your profile that that's not what you are after. I think more people need to actually be a bit more straightforward in what they do want, saves time for everyone!

As it says in the initial question, interpretation is the key. Casual will undoubtedly mean different things to different people. As has been previously said, ask the question. Ask lots of questions to determine whether the person you're messaging is the right fit for you. Hopefully, they will have created a decent enough profile that gives you a good start.

I think causal can be interpreted in a many ways from yes just a ONS …to also nothing too serious you have to read the full profile
To get a picture of that person it’s always a difficult one but I also understand what woman may think when they see it

Different people will interpret the word “casual” in different ways… as in Looking for: casual.

When I see “Looking for: casual” on a male members profile I tend to avoid said profile as I get the impression that they are just a player and not serious about looking for anything more than one night stands or a few “casual”
meets…
Which has usually turned out to be the case for most of these male members.

Unless both male and female members make it clear on their profiles what “casual” means to them affair wise wither it’s just a one off or a few…
Other members could and/or will continue to misinterpret and avoid the their profiles.

I don’t have casual on my profile for this very reason 🤷🏼‍♀️
