I agree with person who said women have other expenses. I always buy new underwear for an encounter- that can cost me far more than the room rate! Also if the guy has sold himself on basis of highflying career etc but then is worried about £40 it makes you wonder how genuine he has been in the first place

I have never been asked to contribute to cost of hotel though I usually offer, or at least offer to get drinks etc. I haven’t met many guys but those I have have been gentlemen who refused my contribution

I’ve been seeing someone since August. I have paid for everything. Last Saturday we had lunch and she decided to pay. I wouldn’t let her. It’s not sexist. I just feel a man should put his money where his mouth is.

The Bill should be split equally. Ive found men usually buy most of the drinks anyway bit that is an attempt to get you tipsy and lower ones inhibitions.

I expect this isn’t the appropriate topic area for my query but I can’t discover how to start a new one.
Not exactly about hotels, but maybe someone with the experience can help.
I’m going on a 14 day cruise next week - can’t mention the line but there will be plenty of older people.
Anyone got any tips for finding fun on a cruise - any come-on signs maybe?

Look at day use hotels. Usually starts about 10 til about 4. As for who pays it depends on what you agree. No single correct way

The man arranges and pays, gives all the detail about where and hotel in advance to keep the woman more relaxed where there going. I might be old fashioned but its that simple, might change aftee many meets but not the first few. Dayuse is great if in or near a city.

Some time ago now, I was in what I thought was rather advanced chats. When it came to the hotel booking, I got asked to pay for it (not even halves). He ghosted me when I said no. Lucky escape for me!

@fluffuClouds and @ExoticOrchid, It would appear you chose the wrong IE. I think some men forget who it is they are meeting i.e. a lady. just because the initial contact was on this site doesn't mean you should drop your standards (man or woman). My experience of IE is that there are some very nice ladies who are just looking for a friend. Once the friendship is established other things happen naturally. It can be fun for both if you treat each other correctly.
