How do you stop yourselves from falling for your ie? I’ve been here before and fell for him only to find out he had other women from the site and was on many other sites. It ended because I wanted an exclusive long term affair. Can any of you really say you don’t get attached to your ie after many months of being together? One night stands are not for me

Tough ask: I had a partner for some 5-6 years, never anyone else meantime, worked well for us both until I wanted a more formal arrangement and she wouldn't leave her then husband for the sake of their supposedly (yeah, call me cynical!) disabled son.
Never mind, those 5-6 years were great. Would always prefer to make love than fuck, but sometimes needs must!

@MatureWorcsBBW
I think there is being dishonest because you have no other choice, and dishonest because that's who you are through and through.
I can be totally honest... losing an affair friend isn't the same as losing the person one committed with for life

To the letter person: unfortunately that s**t happens. Not everyone will be what they seem to be, don't give up to find someone who will show you that you haven't fall, but that instead you are flying, or feeling things you have never felt before ... which is even better!!

To me it's the difference between Lust and Love.
Lust can fade away without any increase in feelings towards each other.
If Lust however turns to love (mutually) that is when the hard decisions have to be made. Carry on and lead a parallel life (probably the hardest to maintain without raising suspicion and other feelings like jealousy creeping in), end your marriage or end the relationship.

If people were honest from the start of what they wanted from an affair, people are less likely to get hurt. I suppose it does happen as people are only human but there are different types of love.

You need to be honest with yourself from the start.
He's being dishonest to his wife, you're being dishonest with your partner also.
Yet somehow you honestly thing that you'll both be totally honest with each other for the duration of your friendship.

And back in the real world.

It is what it is from the beginning, just a dalliance, however brief.
Accept that and you'll be fine.

I have more chance of falling over my shoe lace than any one on here. Connection over rejection, will it happen? I doubt it.
I now know how the guys feel who sell the big issue magazine. 🤔

I think that there is a fine line between emotional connection and emotional attachment, but in the case of 'illicitencounters' it is about being honest from the beginning and having a clear mindset that it is ok to like, respect or even care, but we must be mature and realistic to understand that for some, it can be nothing more.

I am a widower, so would love to meet up with ladies who would like some male company without compliactions and discretion guaranteed
