Just to be clear, apart from maybe stringing someone along to get a free dinner there isn't anything wrong with using IE for different purposes than meeting people. I flagged it up as an explanation rather than an accusation. It's easy to take it personally when you're being ignored, but there are many, many reasons why it might have nothing to do with you as a person.

An IE equivalent to the 'twitter' blue tick.

You'd earn the badge based on opinions of 'partners' or similar.

It could be abused, like any system, but might stop dome if the less 'nice' practices on both sides.

It wouldn't guarantee 'getting laid', but might promote better behaviour?

Another thing to bear in mind is that not every man on IE is looking for a romantic meet.

Some are just dipping their toes in the water.
Some already have an IE partner.
Some just like naughty messages.
Some are still hung up on a previous IE and can’t move on.
Some haven’t yet discovered how to be a bigger man. 🤷‍♂️

If you are messaging and not getting responses, could it be that they are looking at your profile and discounting based on the data there? Age, location and height being the first categories before any text that might put someone off? If you are out of age/location/height/education criteria maybe better off not starting a discussion?

Of course there are members who just want chat for validation, or they dont really know what they are doing, having a mid-life crisis from their sofa, or whatever. But to those of us who are serious about 'this' there's no point starting a chat when someone doesn't meet the basic boundaries of say age and location.
