Another thing to bear in mind is that not every woman on IE is looking for a romantic meet.
Some are just dipping their toes in the water.
Some already have an IE partner.
Some just like naughty messages.
Some just want a free meal.
Some just buzz on the attention... Paula, is that you over there? 🤣🤣🤣

@Hottie Spicy....agree totally. You should also add about time wasted for no shows🙄.

For the OP, start genuine conversations based upon what you read in and between the profile narrative. Try and establish a rapport, if they're looking for what you're interested in.

Also try to spot obvious red flags....age range 21-99, people under 40 seeking 50-80. In my experience these profiles don't lead anywhere.

My advice for any bloke would be to manage your expectations and be prepared for a LOT of rejection. I'm coming to the end of my subscription period and these are the scores on the doors:
I read around 200 profiles and selected 97 of those to message.
81 of those messages were read but only 15 received any sort of response (there were another 3 unsolicited messages sent from real people and 5 sent from Bots)
4 of those responses were polite "no's", one was a very impolite "no".
Of the 13 online conversations, 11 went nowhere and faded away. Two resulted in dates.

Make of that what you will.

I always find it funny when other on here say be honest be yourself lol your in a cheating website are you honest with your other half… some of you have permissions to play and lots of you are single.

Partnered women are here because they want something different and exciting. They already have a boring man at home and don't need another. If you tell them that you are a simple man with simple tastes and like nothing more than listening to the shipping forecast over a cup of cocoa, then be prepared for zero interactions.

I get what your saying about making messages around what the profile has on it. And I widely believe in this. It just gets annoying when you can get no replies. I can easily send out 10 and maybe get 1 reply. the rest ghosted. And I don't overly think my profile is that bad.

Issue I have too, the profile itself. To much, to little. should i be the gentleman or the bad boy approach.

And then sometimes, I just think sod it and bang out 10 generic messages. And still get 1 reply. lol

Yet, I always reply when approached :)
