Is monogamy unnatural?

I tried to be faithful, for a long time. However, I always, always had the feeling I needed to see more than one person. I used to think that there was something wrong with me, but now I'm certain that it is monogamy that is unnatural.

Agree or disagree?

It’s like MagicMouse says …it’s only good for nest building and raising a family because stability/structure is necessary…
As long as you are committed to your family and you are emotionally mature …know your boundaries and you can adhere to them then you can have your extra marital moments..
Don’t get involved unless they can match your own ‘stable ‘ arrangement …beware of those that use the ‘get out of jail free ‘ card

Personally I think monogamy only really works if both people's personalities, morals, core life goals and sex drive align perfectly but let's face it, that's incredibly rare. So on that basis I'd say it's unnatural.

yes it's way too restricting - live life, have fun - 6 billion people out there, why stick to one

Without getting to heavy - Monogamy is a construct of humans and religion.

Monogamy doesn't exist (for the most part) in the animal kingdom, why should it apply to humans ?

You can still be in a commitment relationship and carry out all your commitments to your family , while still exploring sexual endeavours elsewhere. It does not mean you are any less committed in that family unit

Monogamy is essential for nest building and raising a family.
But once the chicks have fully fledged…
Go explore the world and all it has to offer 🤩

Totally unnatural. I think most people would cheat if they were a) brave enough and b) thought they could get away with it.
Keeps the spark at home too x

Definitely agree. I’ve struggled to remain faithful for decades - and it’s usually been the cause of my marriage or relationship ‘failure’. If only everyone was accepting that it’s ok to love more than one person - and to be openly supportive of each other choosing to love who ever they choose - providing all parties are free from STDs and everyone knows this is how it ‘works’!

You mean you've been to a hotel which has a ceiling mirror ... tell, tell, tell which one ... go on ... sharing is caring ... 😉
