One for the gents ..
At what age do you think you should stop adding/taking away the extra 5 years. All those guys that are 60 but indicate 55 or the 35.s that become 40 ?

If they came clean at first meet and we get on, yes, I can probably overlook it ... it's when they act as if they haven't lied that puts me off.

He actually wanted me to stay and chat to see if we “clicked” and if there was “chemistry”🫣🤷🏼♀️.
I said… “Oh there’s chemistry all right. A chemical reaction happening in my stomach right now and not in a good way”. 🤢
But there are other details on profiles which get lied about too… 🙄.

Well let’s put it this way…
I wasn’t hanging around to find out where or how much life he had left in him 🤣😂🫤🫣

In my former life here several years ago, I met a fantastic lady, who admitted to me when we met, that she had 'shaved' 9 years off her actual age. Her profile pic was in black and white which should have been a bit of a giveaway. But hey! aren't most of us here cheating anyway?
In any case, our first meeting was a success and we ended up enjoying each other's company for several months.
So perhaps age is just a number after all?

Only for the gents?
In my case, the time has come where it doesn't really matter if I tried to shave a couple of years off.
I'd still be too old for the vast majority on here anyway!

I once met someone who did look like his photo BUT at least TWENTY years older ... he actually said to me "see I look just like my photo" ... I thought to myself yes but very much older ... however, I was too polite to say it out loud ... 😇
I have the correct age on my profile even though I could easily shave 5 or even 10 years off it ... what's the point though ... I am me ... take it or leave it 🤷🏻♀️

How do people expect to get away with that. Just nuts. A year or two I can understand but 17 years. OMG
I didn’t realise it was that bad. Wow

I actually had a date back in 22 which didn’t last long because the man I was meeting lied about his age 🙄🤷🏼♀️.
Profile age 53.
His photos I suspected were older, the clothes were a bit of a give away lol, but was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.
When he turned up for our date I didn’t recognise him 🫤.
He asked me if I wished another drink…
Me… thanks for the offer but I’m already meeting someone.
Him… yes me.
Me..I made the most unbecoming sound (ok… I snorted 🫢) and said I don’t think so as the man I’m meeting is younger than you.
Him… it’s me and then he said my name.
The date didn’t last long and was really awkward 🫤.
His actual age was 70!!
He’d shaved 17 years of his age!!
He wasn’t the first to do this and he certainly won’t be the last… 🙄😏.
Whenever I look at a man’s profile and see his age I take his profile age with a huge pinch of salt.
And yes… there are ladies who shave years off their ages too 😏.

Lying about anything it's not a good start.
Lying about your age or the way you look or sharing those photos taken a few years ago won't do you any favours in the long run.
Imagine going to a date, you get there, the other person not recognising you or vice versa 🤔
Save disappointment, tell the truth, be proud of who you truly are. Be yourself, only then you will have a chance.
