Obviously it depends on what people like.

A museum, art gallery, salsa bar, arcade (more fun than you would expect!), skating rink, are all good options

I think it’s good manners to make sure your first date has an “out” is she’s not in to you. So I’d avoid cruises, lock-ins, etc. :-)

My suggestion would be a nice walk in the woods or on the beach

Maybe not a sandy beach then? Maybe not even the actual beach? The sea can be quite invigorating!

That's the main reason I moved to where I am now - and I'm central to most beaches too so I have the freedom to choose

I prefer that to brass necking it in a hotel where it's obvious what you're there for. Doors opening and closing everywhere, telly on to drown out any noise.

Each to their own, but I don't find that very relaxing.

Great outdoors, lots of open space, private, that's my preference!
