Maybe it's my total-honesty philosophy that's prevented me from operating a similar ruse, but I guess it makes sense..... what's a little white lie when we're all collectively bobbing around in a sea of smoke, mirrors and deceit? ( and is it worse than the classic 'of course I won't come in your mouth'??)

Just a tip....

....change your location to broaden your prospects to areas that you are willing to travel to. I also do not give my exact location away either. Not only is that discrete to protect my husband incase someone who knows him, and then they spot me on here, but surely if our husbands and wives do some Columbo digging, it's not going to be that hard to find us as all they have to do is search for men or women under the area search on here?

Your comment is more in line with singles dating sites. Whilst there are quite a few singles on here, most have marriages and partners or had marriages and partners. So no, Alpha Widows aren't prevalent on this site.

Just because you STILL see the same women doesn't mean they haven't or didn't find someone and are looking again. I see men who are still on here who were already members when I joined 18 months ago. Plus I see LOTS of men who rejoin under new profile names making out that they're 'new on here', a lie before they even get going.

Regarding all the expectations - I go with my gut, my lover is 2 years older we’ve lots in common and I find him incredibly sexy.

However when I was looking I had messages from under 40s ripped bodies … did I take it further nope …. If I was out for ONS then it may have been tempting but that’s not for me. Also I do not dismiss someone just on a photo I’ve taken chances and met someone I didn’t think I’d connect with sexually but I was wrong. As I’ve said millions of time take the chance for coffee or wine it’s half an hour out of your life …

Saint_David, I so agree with what you said just there! The distance I travel is beyond what most people would even consider. It's like the 'extreme sport' of I.E. I didn't go looking for a long distance thing - he found me, but it was awesome, so I went with it and being flexible to travelling has made something really special happen that I otherwise would have just brushed away. I'm really glad I didn't let myself miss out! There must be others too, travelling long distance for their I.E? And you're totally right...it stretches out the excitement!

It isn't for everyone, it means it can't happen as regularly as others and I've had my fair share of terrible train traumas! And coms have to be really good. But, some things really are worth going the extra mile(s)!
