First date?

What's a good first date idea? It's yonks since I've last been to a restaurant. Work and Life is just SO busy.

Is a restaurant even what you really want to do on a first date anyway?

Regardless of the answer here, someone using random capitalisation, random bold, words like yonks, and asking if there is even a point to visiting restaurants will certainly not be invited anyway!

Cafe at a park... or near the woods! Followed by a stroll walk if we're both into each other.. has worked for me in the past..

Can't beat a fish supper after a wee stroll, a lot of flirting and a kiss or 3

Pub for a lemonade.
Cafe for a coffee.
Restaurant for dinner.
Anyone in any predicament could do one of those options, at any time.
And do it in the first couple of weeks of chatting online/phone.
That way you can move on if you need to and stop wasting everyone's time.

A good 1st is going home happy and content, not sad, or angry or disappointed,.

I have found that going out and getting totally wasted together does give you a good perspective on the other person and you on them. It totally breaks the ice, can be real fun and you see each other totally raw. It is a good thing.

My issue with a first date isā€¦. Actually getting around to meeting upšŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø.
Last year and into this year ā€œavailability and timingsā€ have been the main issue.
When Iā€™m available heā€™s not and vice versa.
Itā€™s so frustrating.
Iā€™ve given up on several men because I felt he was wasting my time and his.
Itā€™s gotten to the point where one of the first questions I now ask is ā€œWhen are you available and how often can you meet upā€.
Blunt I know but itā€™s better than wasting weeks TRYING to make arrangements for a first date šŸ˜¬šŸ™„šŸ«¤šŸ˜•

I'm on the spectrum, so nothing where I'm forced to sit opposite and maintain eye contact or do small talk. That won't show me at my best.

I much prefer something where we're active such as a walk somewhere.
