The whole "let's face each other over a table for dinner" isn't the greatest setting is it?

I like the suggestions of strolls in the park, something relaxed. Although I think my own preference would be a small/medium music gig for a bit of energy, fun and easy setting.

Going for coffee somewhere neither of you would usually go so you’re not spotted by anyone you know. Coffee is simple and it can be kept short.

Slightly off topic, how do you get to a first date? As a lady, I've now started to search and for the first time I am initiating contact with profiles I like. I don’t always get replies, how many ladies send first messages or is it usually left to the man?
