I imagine some deal with perceived expectations of guilt of an affair through compartmentalising it. This means that to some it can seem very different from there every day life. Congnative dissonance is a real psychological phenomenon.

You are absolutely right.

There are real people behind the profiles ( Though I do wonder about the auto generated template ones sometimes) sending the messages and contributing to the forum.

Those that don't see that are in fantasyland.

Think that’s the point everyone’s trying to make , this is a part of real life , a few posts are sounding like here isn’t real life , unless your just on here virtually it isn’t , hotel meets dates , are real life in real world ,

What do you mean by 'window shopper'?

I go on dates, I do hotel meets if I want to but I don't want to be in someone's pocket or their real life, that's what I meant by the 'real world' and the 'affair world'.

In the real world I always fancied my married line manager...until he split up with his wife! We get on like a house on fire but it's too real, I like the unobtainable...I like to dip my toe in and then return to the hum drum of my normal life. I like a website that wets my toes for me, I like this IE world. That's what I mean by the real world and the affair world.
