@Paula99 hit the nail on the head. I don't know who is writing these forum questions, but it is incredibly simplistic to say "I had an affair, now I feel playful..." What if you are still in debt and poor health? Is a one-night fling in a PremierInn really going to transform your life?

A lot of people justify an affair by saying 'everything is secure at home, but I just need some passion' ... it can be a reason, but this is a reductionist approach that ignores every aspect of lifestyle and psychology and just assumes that men getting sex = happy men.

It never ceases to amaze me …guys get to 50 and have not had an affair before and they decide on a whim that this is what they need … it can’t be any other reason of course …no evaluation of lifestyle…work patterns…empty nest..heath..etc etc ..it’s got to be another woman 👩….nothing else will work and nothing has been tried in the meantime …🧐

Yep, but without being too obvious to anyone else. Discreet is the word but for me it releases any tensions and stress or those few hours of playing. Making love making fun.

We all want to be wanted and an affair hits many of the endorphins that we need. Just knowing that someone want you to kiss or touch them makes you feel worthwhile and sexy. I thought it was 1987 again!

I have been married twice and my experience with my first affair was yes it made me feel good , lively , a man again , however I also realised what was wrong in my marriage and decided my life could not stay as it was. Then my second wife who I love still , but has health issues both mentally and physically and has changed meaning I'm now missing that something special which we use to have (no fault of her doing) So finding that other person will give me that buzz ,it will mean a re balance of a quality back in my life... I am sure my experience(s) will be similar to many of you .

This is very interesting to read. Having the affair does not just hit sexual needs but it can be about intimacy, and connection. And showing up as your best self afterwards.
