Coping Tips Please!

Anybody got any coping mechanisms for dealing with your spouse during this time? I am this close to purchasing a shovel and doing some heavy gardening in our back yard

Mine has always been an advocate of social and physical distancing where I'm concerned. This works well.

I would be keen to assist any lady members should they need any attention in their garden. I have got green fingers and could put them to good use tidying foliage and trimming bushes

Buy a new bathroom, lock yourself in and 'luxuriate' in the calm and scenerity of a long soak in the tub.

Buy said shovel, prepare large hole. Grab a drink, a book and a deck chair, keeping spade within reaching distance.

If they step out of line and are within striking distance, swing away and pat down to a level surface. Move deck chair over the mound and continue to read. Have the odd sip to congratulate yourself on a job well done.

Yes, that is a really good way to get away from said spouse. I too have been doing this. Sorted out pond, trimmed hedges, mowed lawn.... :-)

1. Noise cancelling headphones by Bose (other brands are available)
2. Garden shed with wifi availability
3. Spouse free zone areas in house, entry strictly restricted and then only on production of appropriate signed documentation

There has been an inevitable increase in domestic violence during this lockdown. But violence is never justified in the home.
Jaw jaw is always better than war war.
Be prepared to listen and to compromise, but expect the same in return.
