Family tracking apps
My partner has decided to install Life360 on all our phones to track the whereabouts of our school aged children. How do I make sure it doesn’t track me on meet with my IE?

For iOS on Apple you can switch the device that used for find my location. So if you have an iPad or watch as well as a phone you can leave iPad at home and use that as the device thatās being used to track you

Weāve had this for years for the same reasons, itās all very well turning off the location in the App but you need to be super vigilant about āFind Myā and āSharing Locationā settings in the phone itself, Iāve literally had to leave my phone at home on occasions and donāt forget the same if youāve got an Apple watch etc linked to your phone!!

If he does install it, just switch tracking for you for off but donāt tell him. Then if he says anything youāll know heās specifically looking at where you are. My response would then be something along the lines of I see the being tracked as an intrusion into my personal space like looking at my diary, that Iām always available and on call to everyone in the family and Iād just like a small piece of privacy in my life. Thatās actually how Iāve always felt about being tracked even before IE and everyone in the family accepted that

Well I'd say you fecked it he's doing this why would he want you on it if it's just to keep the children safe
Saying that if he really wants to track you there are other ways

It works by tracking gps location, so there are several ways. Google ātrick life360 locationā and youāll see there are several ways depending on what youāre trying to achieve .
But yes, Iād agree with other comments. This is really all about him tracking you..

My phone's power-saving settings don't work with the app. Nor does it have location permissions. Unfortunately (!) this means no-one can see my location. I can however see other people's which is quite handy.

Where there is a will, there is a way. Most important is to have a supportive IE partner who will work with you to troubleshoot issues rather than leave you alone to beat the tracker.

I had a partner who had 360 on her phone. She used to pretend she was at dance class and leave her phone in her car parked outside the class. We would then go elewhere and i would drop her back off at the car later.

We have this for our family and I have point blankly refused to have it including me.
Ok for kids, but creepy if your life partner is watching your every move !
