I will not be "made" to do anything by a man ... not even to watch a (stupid) TV show let alone dress like one from that show!

Sure, I'm happy to go along with an IE's certain likes/requests where possible BUT only if I'm happy to do so only if it's not anything weird (in my opinion).

I got a little confused when I first read the question as I recently watched Russell Crowe in “Gladiator” on the tv and immediately thought that your IE’s request was just weird and tbh more than a little unsettling!

But then I read the question again and realised that you meant the new series of “Gladiators” and thought actually, his request is still a weird and more than a little unsettling! 😧

Also, it’s a little disconcerting to read. “he made us watch the new series on Saturday” 😬 You should have given him the “thumbs down” if it wasn’t something you wanted to watch too 👎

Reality can rarely measure up to the fantasy.
