Interesting concept although I disagree with the terminology you used ‘female overvaluation’ in a society where women experience quite the opposite. However online, such as this site for example, where men out number the women then I guess it’s easier for women to be picky. Regardless of looks, sometimes a man’s location, profile content and attitude could be factors of rejection.
I’ve shut down a few handsome hunks for having god awful attitudes and no respect.

Beck and Hottie Spicy, fully agree with you. IRL is riskier, but it’s easier to establish a connection. Far too easy for people to back out, get cold feet or just bullshit you that they want an affair (but really just want the validation) online. Lots of game players on here, as I’ve said ad nauseum. You’re probably all bored of me singing this particular song 😂

Beckysharp has it right. Online dating promises so much but delivers so little.
IRL will almost certainly get you better results and won't give your self-esteem a daily kick in the nuts.

I’ve always found ‘real life’ affairs much better! My current lover is from irl and even though we’ve been on/off over the years, I have never found anyone suitable online to replace him that I have a real spark and chemistry with. I’ve wondered if it says something about the type of guys on here 🤷‍♀️ Who knows.

I did initially plan to look for someone not linked to me at all next time (less risk etc). But affairs in real life are so easy to come by. Luckily I’m not having to look right now 🙏

Overall probably no harm in keeping all options open?

OP, the simple answer is to move away from the online dating scene. In this ecosystem, even very ordinary looking women become incredibly picky when they are greeted with a torrent of male attention in their inboxes every day. The simple truth is that if you don't look like a Greek god, your chances are slim to none in the online world.

I expect the usual suspects will chip in with their usual asinine comments, but the concept of female overvaluation in online dating has been studied a LOT over the past few years.

Feel free to message me if you want some advice which is a bit more useful than "get some better pictures"
