I have had a two year relationship with a man 12 years younger than me. We got on really well. Unfortunately the relationship ended when he left the area. There was too much distance between us to continue with the relationship.

Having typed that lol my ex husband was 12 years older than me. One of the main reasons we split up was because the age difference became an issue. Towards the end of the marriage we hadn’t anything in common and we weren’t interested in each other’s conversations.

Most of my other relationships have been with men about 5/7 years younger or a couple of years older.

We’d all be hurt if we were dumped for a younger model (or 5!) But the nature of affairs is that this can happen and there’s nothing we can do about it other than move on. Your anger is only hurting you…

An affair partner from about two years ago and who I occasionally keep in touch with has developed a liking for much younger guys - like 20 years younger. The blend of female experience and youthful vigour makes for great sex (so she says), but she confesses that out of the bedroom there is not much that they can connect over. She insists it isn't too important, but the fact that she's got through about five of them in a year tells me that certain needs aren't being met.

Truthfully what do young men see in a women of 60? Is it a sugar mummy vibe?

Doesn't matter how old or young she is (as long as it's legal!), If you fancy her, you fancy her. Might not last long for one reason or the other, but that's just life!

I think people just like what they like. I’m at the stage where I don’t find myself connecting with anybody over 5 years older, but could definitely swoop way low to early 30s, although emotional maturity in the younger ones still needs a little developing. Maybe it’s just chat up style. I like something quite punchy, (not rude). Labels simply show a judgemental mindset. Consenting adults can do whatever they want, with whoever they choose.
