I find that a work call is the best excuse to use to call my IE, how about you guys?

I go out to work so I guess I could do it on my commute home but would never risk talking to them at home I don't think it's worth the risk

When would you need such playacting? With all the technology available, discretion is assured almost entirely.

Jeez, is the phone still in the hallway, do you share an aging pc? JHC the tactic is all but 30 years out of date. unbelievable.

The staging of this falsehood is for your partner obviously. FGS have some respect!

This is one of the dumbest ideas to evolve from this series of, what have so far been reasonably produced. But this one is a disaster.

Being involved with someone from work years ago, it's a cliché but was by far the easiest way to keep in touch. Working long hours and dealing with all the back end stuff no one cares about meant partner didn't really ask about the calls. Just the mention of "SLAs" or "potential contact " would shut the conversation down.
